Always seems so hard to get back to the journal after taking a break. So, let's see...I've pretty much missed an entire week unplanned, plus the planned absence of getting back from QCC. QCC was good; the new space is pretty nice, and it was wild being in that kind of back-to-school headspace for being on a college campus. :) It was neat staying in the dorms; I joked that it was just how I pictured the Gamers Old Folks Home being someday. :) Single bedrooms with shared living spaces in the suites, and people gathered in the common areas playing games. I scheduled pretty light for the con, intending to play pick-up games as time and opportunity permitted, and also maybe checking out more board games than I usually do. Which worked out pretty well! I (finally) got to try out Circle of Six and Relic Hunters, and both were really fun. Can't wait to see those in production. I got to play Copenhagen and Climbers with Chris, which were also pretty fun. I played one of Jen's in-development games, Boycott the Caf, which I wasn't booked for but which I got recruited into. Lastly were my two scheduled games, Monsterhearts (also with Jen) and Hearts of Wulin, which (of course) was quite fun. All in all, good times! Looking forward to next year.

I left pretty early in the day Sunday and took my sweet time getting home, so I got back Sunday night. The rest of the week is kind of a blur. I think I got one pod edit done that cropped up. Otherwise, I don't think I was very productive. My back was hurting for a lot of the week, and the last several days have just been a disgusting heat wave, and I've mostly just been taken out of commission. This past weekend I spent all available time trying to play inbox catchup. And I still didn't complete it! I got the primary inbox back under control, though, so that's something, and I'm certainly closing in on the rest, but as always, it's never easy to find time to devote to it during the week.

It was a bit cooler today, which was good, but...you know...only relatively speaking. Like it wasn't deadly hot; it was just...normal uncomfortable hot. I did get a GC edit done (and we're shooting for getting those done a few days early on the reg now for Patreon stuff). This week I've got FaFDM for sure, and BSO if I can swing it. And maybe a UtT if it shows up? Dunno on that. Speaking of which, TH looks like it'll be replaced by two other podcasts, so...yeah, I just gotta see if I still have time for those kinds of shenanigans on a weekly basis, because I really have to seriously look into "real" work. Which is definitely something I should have been working on last week, but didn't. So...hope springs eternal for this week.

That's about it, I guess. Feeling a little bit on the ill side today, so my energy hasn't been great, but looking back...I was still pretty productive and got stuff done. Besides GC, we also soft launched the MMP Forums today, so...yay! Finally making progress there. :) There's a new project spinning up that's not public yet...I'll call it Project Riverbed. I gotta find some time to spend on that somehow, but once it's up and running, it shouldn't take too much from me regularly.

What else. Oh! The One Shot episodes of Turning Point I was on finally dropped, so that's pretty cool! I know the original plan was that the Kickstarter would be up by now, but now probably it won't go until next year. They did get the quickstart out, though, so that's good. Twitter launched some dippy new browser interface which is a pain in the ass on desktops, so...that's a thing. Oh, finally got the car back from the shop after the post-NH incident, so that's good! Seems like Gb is doing better now, too. Speaking of Gb, he's got an orientation upstate that I'm seconding on, so that's gonna take a couple days out of next week for me, it looks like. Then moving again at the end of August. Time marches on.

Got therapy tomorrow, which I think is a good thing. Couple car-related chores to look into, but otherwise just gonna try and get some work done. Now that I've done some catching up on stuff and have spent a whole week in post-con doldrums, I really gotta get shit back on track. I wish it wasn't so goddamned hot, but so it goes. I dunno. Life is just...continuing, I guess. Really gotta do something about income, though. I'm pushing my luck. Onward.
