flatvurm: (fringehead bedhole)
So a little while ago I made this post referring people to a link about genetic research into the female orgasm, and I picked out a funny little quote from the research scientist being unsurprised about women having a more orgasmeriffic time with masturbation.

Well, [livejournal.com profile] belle1446 recently gave me a link to this article about research into brain activity during orgasm. Once again it seems that orgasm researches just can't resist editorializing, as seen in this quote: "The fact that there is no deactivation in faked orgasms means a basic part of a real orgasm is letting go. Women can imitate orgasm quite well, as we know, but there is nothing really happening in the brain." (emphasis mine) Anyone else starting to think that orgasm researchers are losing a lot of confidence in the sack? I feel like that doesn't bode well for us laypeople.

Hehehe. Laypeople.
