I appear to be plague-ridden. More later.

Yeah, I dunno what the wait is for. My life isn't that interesting. :)

I decided to take the weekend to goof around hardcore, and what better way than with copious video gaming? What I wanted to try, actually, was Shadow of the Colossus as per [livejournal.com profile] vaguelyethnic's endorsement, but I couldn't find the damn thing at my local Blockbuster. What a rip! So anyway, I settled for Prince of Persia: Warrior Within for the Cube, instead. I had so much fun with Sands of Time that I figured this would be worth a shot. So...I dunno about this thing. I'm finding it pretty frickin' difficult. I die, like...all the time; I hate games like that. Also there have been parts where the way to move forward is not at all obvious. Also...the game is buggy, which just plain sucks. Part of it is annoying, like when I have to hear that ridiculous heavy metal fight music all the time, but part of it was actually harmful, like when a tower I had to climb got rendered wrong and made unclimbable, and I had to go back to my last save point and redo everything to get the stupid thing fixed. Actually...thank God it rendered wrong; that it did so was my only clue that maybe I should play that part over ("I'm pretty sure these ledges shouldn't be hanging in mid-air like this.") Can you imagine if I didn't have a visual clue that the game had fucked up? I'd just assume it was another hard-to-find route I needed to discover; I'd probably still be stuck there. Anyway...I'm not sure at this point how much time and energy I'm willing to put into this one.

Anyway. Also over the weekend I appear to have developed the cold that Momz was suffering through before she left for Cali. As a result, I've spent much of the weekend not doing anything (except playing video games). The exception was on Sunday when I played in this big-ass freeroll tournament online. I didn't win anything, and in fact it was a pretty lackluster showing for me. The upside to playing while sick, though, was that it didn't faze me when I busted out, because I already felt like crap. Whee!

This might be a relatively short bout of sickness (knock on wood). I felt truly horrendous last night (and I pooh-pooh any remarks that I was wrong to fight the illness with beer)...so much so that I actually fell asleep on the couch in front of the TV, something I rarely do. (And right in the middle of The Shawshank Redemption, no less.) I feel better today than I did yesterday, though, so I take that as a sign that the worst might be over. Here's to hoping, anyway. I am, though, going to take it easy today also, methinks, though I do have some errands to run.

And that, my friends, is the state of affairs around here. This is something like Day 5 on my own...I have to say, so far I haven't been as productive as I thought I would have been. Plus I doubt much is going to happen today. ;) Peace!
