You know what I just realized...I've been using the phrase "I mean come on" a lot lately. I'm pretty sure this is a recent thing. I'm not sure where it came from. I also can't seem to settle on a standard way of punctuating it, so I've taken to not punctuating it at all most times. Anyway...just weird, that's all.
I also really overuse the word "like." I recently came across the transcript of a kind of dictation I made for myself a while back. Reading the transcript was painful. If you think I use the word "like" a lot when I write, it's disgusting how much I use it when I speak. And I never really knew, I guess. Anyway, ever since I read that transcript, I've become more and more aware how much I say "like." I'm not sure I care enough to do anything about it, frankly, but...we'll see. Anyway, if we're talking and I start making frequent silent pauses, that's why.
