Pepped, prepped, etc., etc.
Jan. 11th, 2007 12:19 amLet it be known: I have survived my training day. Contrary to my hopes, there was a consipicuous absence of Denzel Washington. It was nothing fancy; half the day was basically just reading through special tournament rules and junk like that, and the rest was just practice dealing. We got revised schedules, so I am now slotted for one less day of work than previously, and also one shift has been moved to an inconvenient time, but I think I'll try and see if I can do anything about that. I have a doofy uniform shirt now, which is actually not the usual Borgata dealer shirt, but a special edition extra-doofy shirt for the tournament series. I also have a nametag. The position will not require a bow tie. Seven days until prime time. Yikes.
So...that was pretty much my day. Afterward, I spent the evening hanging out with a friend, which I may expound upon at a later time. I'm more or less braindead for the time being. My goal at the moment is to use the time between now and when I start working to shift myself into a more nocturnal style of circadian rhythm. I have mostly swing shifts, but the dearth of public transit in the wee hours means that I am likely going to be spending a lot of time after work sitting around and waiting for buses to run, which is going to make me a very sad person. I may expound upon that at a later time, as well.
As it is, though, I am currently looking forward to passing out for a while. And so I shall. Peace out, everybody. Smell ya later.
