Another day
Feb. 8th, 2019 11:24 pmOkay, so...I'm like 90% done on DFA, and I don't mean content, I meant the whole thing. Finished content today, I just have the decoration to do now, and that includes a little extra sound design, because I want some special stuff in there. Unlike most days, I actually did not get the "everything but i/i" dailies in today. I skipped a few chores, but I got my Gauntlet work done, anyway. Gonna get dinged in Habitica for that, but whatevs. I'll be real...I spent more time on DFA than I expected to. But! It wasn't exactly for working slow, it was because it was interspersed with a lot of MMP Slack shenanigans, which I can't really be sad about. There was this whole thing about a real estate listing that included in its photo slideshow a frankly very opulent and well-appointed sex dungeon.
As an aside, know what I realized? I so rarely link to things anymore. I guess that's mostly with the idea of this journal being just for me. But anyway...here is a decent rundown of the above. :)
Anyhoo. So there was a lot of chatter about that, and that led to some general chit-chat. And...I dunno. It was like have a nice long break at the office, if that makes sense. Good to chill with people a bit, but it meant not getting my work done. I mean...I guess that's just how it's gotta be, right? But, yeah...working from home means no bullshitting around in the office. It was a nice break, I guess is what I'm saying. It just means being even further behind on DFA. Which...I'm not actually stressed about missing the deadline, since I'm still waiting on a final piece from outside. I can't let that allow me to fuck off, though. So I'm just recognizing that that's not the reason I fucked off; I fucked off for totally unrelated reasons. :)
But anyway. Not much else. Caught a bit of Fancy Friday, so that was nice. Reminds me, too, I should really spend some time this weekend and work out a detailed schedule for next week...can kinda see how that goes. That'll probably be Sunday. Lexi's doing like an all-day stream to try and raise some money; I'll see if I can swing by that for a bit. Gonna be some XCOM, too; that'd be cool to see. :) Even more reason to get my work done so I can chill guilt-free. I mean...that's just as productive as playing XCOM myself, right? :) Better, even, if it's a fun hangout.
Tonight's downtime was more Sense8 with T. She picked up dinner from that Thai place with the amazing desserts. Yum. Health was pretty fine today. Couple heart palpitations, actually...been a while! But I'm none the worse for wear, so...shrug. I dunno. Seems like things are going fine. Wrist is still bothering me on an off; the brace really helps, so it's almost certainly carpal tunnel or something related. So it goes.
'Sabout it. Packing it in for bedtime soon. Tomorrow I'll finish up DFA, and then FSM willing I can do i/i catchup. If not...I'm really not gonna sweat it. Could actually work on it on Sunday, come to think of it...could pair well with Lexi's stream. That might be nice; then I wouldn't even feel so unproductive about catching it. :) So, yeah...things are looking pretty good heading into next week, I think. Dare I say it...maybe some time to advance instead of just constantly catching up? Who can say?!
