Banana's out of the bag
Apr. 23rd, 2019 11:12 pmWelp. Can't say I got a whole lot done on the productivity front today, but I got a bunch done on the domestic front, at least, and also I can finally go public with another project! Without further ado, the operation formerly known as Project Target was that I have been asked to help run the Misdirected Mark podcast network alongside Senda, as Chris has decided to step down from the leadership role. Official announcement here. Also they talked about it on the stream tonight, which means it'll be in next week's episode, so I imagine the news will go out in stages. I think we hit all the core contacts today, though, in the original announcement.
This is big for me, and I'm really looking forward to it. Well, forward to what comes next, anyway; there's been a lot going on behind the scenes lo these many weeks, of course. So...some of my work day was spent dealing with the lead-up and the aftermath of that announcement, but that's not a bad thing. In hindsight I guess I could have scheduled for it better, but oh well. :) I can be lenient on myself for such an exceptional case. So, yeah...that's a thing now. It's nice to have it all out in public, and naturally having it all out in public now means buckling down. :)
As for the rest of the day, like I said, it was mostly domestic. Went on a grocery run after dropping T off, basically to lay in supplies and get some supplementary goods together to complement our Passover leftovers. :) That's not all, though; I made the soup for tonight and prepped the potatoes for mashing. So it was actually pretty satisfying to contribute to midweek dinner for once, but dang, it does take away from the work day! But, yeah, between that and the MMP work, that was pretty much my entire day. I don't think I even logged into email, now that I think about it! Wild.
So tomorrow is certainly ABP, and also I think I really have to burn through it, because since I didn't do anything about it today, I'm also up against a Project Crossroads deadline. So those will be my main foci. I'm also going to see if I can get some MMP stuff done that I meant to get done earlier, but it'll be (ironically) lower on my priority list. So, yeah, plenty to do tomorrow. Also T is off work, so that'll be interesting to navigate, but she also has stuff to do, so I think that ABP should at least be fine. But I'm not that worried about it; mostly I'm just excited to not have a wake-up deadline in the morning. :) But even so, there's plenty to do, so I'm gonna head to bed soon anyway. So until tomorrow, then!
