Same again

It's this kind of run where I feel like it's pointless to be keeping to the daily schedule, but...it is what it is. Today did the usual Friday stuff, hit my dailies, edited pods. It was actually a pretty productive day, all things considered. Finished FaFDM and I probably just have a couple hours left on UtT. Past deadline on that one, but I'll finish it up tomorrow. With that, I should be pretty caught up on the week, I think. Gotta lock down the MM news post tomorrow morning, too, though; that's something I didn't get to today and should have. I did spend some time video gaming today. I finally broke down and picked up War of the Chosen, so that's pretty fun so far. Definitely gotta keep that under control, though, while I'm trying to get some work done. The schedule is filling up for the next couple weeks. I'm prepping for the second Atlanta trip, so I'm going to try and make sure it doesn't fuck with my deadlines, and that means frontloading what I can while I have the chance. I'm probably going right in the middle of June when other people are heading to Origins. That's the plan currently, anyway, so that's like two weeks where I can try and get ahead of things a little bit. From where I sit right now, it's looking pretty reasonable, work-load wise, so it'll just mean sticking to a productive schedule and I should be fine. Easier said than done, right? :) In any case, though, it was a good work day, and I'm heading to bed feeling all right about that. More tomorrow, then, and we'll see how things go. Onward.

EDIT: Forgot...I'm still in dire need of inboxing. That would be a good thing to dig into tomorrow if I have the time. If not, Sunday's fine, too.

Productive and creative

Okay...weird day. So...I got done the work I had scheduled. Haha, I was going to say, "that's not the weird part," but I guess it is kind of a weird part, huh. :) But anyway. I got up surprisingly early, so I basically had the morning to myself. I finished up the MM news, which didn't take long, and then I also finished up UtT, which was a couple more hours. Then...mostly on a whim but also because I was jokingly challenged to do so, I ended up...creating music? It was basically mentioned as a joke for the podcast I was editing, and then I thought "wouldn't it be funny if..." so you know once I caught that bug I couldn't shake it until I'd done something about it. So I pretty much spent the rest of the day taking a crash course in some free music construction software and trying to put together a rudimentary tune.

It's been a while. I haven't been on that "fuck it, I just gotta do this thing for no reason" mode in some time, but it was nice to stretch out a bit. Also it's been well-received so far, so that makes it worthwhile. I often say how I spent ridiculous amounts of time on jokes that like five people will get. This one may take the cake, though. This may only be funny to me and the two podcast hosts, and to everyone else it will just be like "what is this crappy music." Still. No regrets. :) Except for the shame. ;)

But, yeah...that's pretty much how I spent my day. Very sleepy now and kinda headachey, so I'm heading to bed. Only a little bit of downtime with T today, since I was busy with my bullshit. Tomorrow I'll see about some inboxing and setting up my week. Hmm, and I should do some GC work if I can manage to fit that in there. We shall see.
