flatvurm: (worry)
Back from Gb's orientation, which went well. I actually really like the school. But more importantly, Gb seems into it. :) So that's good...I feel good about this. It was a pretty easy trip, too...relatively straight shot, half a day's drive. Seems about just right. I was hella tired when I got home last night, though. Not for any particular reason, I don't think...just a long couple days, I guess? But, yeah...was tired and sacked out.

Today I got zero done on the editing front, so I'm really gonna have to burn on UtT tomorrow. Though I guess I have until Friday (or even later if I really need to push it), but I'm gonna try not to. UtT is primarily want I want to clear this week, but I also wouldn't be sad if I could take a day to do admin catchup, ya know? So ideally UtT tomorrow (Thursday) and catchup on Friday. We'll see!

Anyway. So no editing done today, but I did get some domestic catchup taken care of. Did some shopping, ran some errands...that kinda thing. Also watched the MM stream I missed last night, so at least I'm up-to-date there, too. ;) Also hit my dailies today, too, which I'm a little surprised by. It was mostly on a lark, to be honest, but I'm glad I did it. Feel good. Accomplished, I guess. :)

Also. Today is day one of trying to work with a thumb trackball instead of a mouse. So far it's bizarre...my brain is trying to map these new habits, and I wind up always trying to move the pointer by scrolling the wheel. Whatever! Hopefully this will improve my ergonomic life, but if I can't get used to the new setup (particularly with pod editing!) then I may just scrap it and see what else I can do.

Guess that's about all the news around here. Blogging early just to put a button on the day. I kinda like the evening blogging if I can swing it; saves the drudgery of the last-minute-post-before-bed.

Anyway, yeah. Couple of quick errands in the morning (gotta take the car in AGAIN, though it should be a short visit, and I gotta swing by storage to update my credit card, since I just got the replacement in the mail today and I don't want to forget), but after that, hopefully it'll just be diving into UtT. Onward!
