Stuff and things
Aug. 15th, 2019 12:28 amQuick entry tonight (I hope!) since it's pretty late, but figured I should record the day. Work day was fine. Made progress on Project Riverbed (finally!), so I feel good about that. Also got some work done on my professional site (also "finally!"), which is the first in many steps to trying to find more work. Probably some other misc stuff in there, but those were the two biggies, since it's making progress on some to-do items that have been languishing.
The bigger deal, though, was a family dinner, so that took up the evening. T came with me, but Gb wasn't free, so it was C and I, of course, and then Dad, G, and Lola. Just noteworthy for the gettogether, which is a rare enough occurrence that it bore mentioning and recording. Had a pretty good time, passed around some stories from the old days, took home some cheesecake. Basically the "usual" I guess, in the sense that anything about that is usual. Home pretty late, though, and I'm sleepy, so bed awaits. I did manage to sneak in my dailies, though, so...feel pretty good about that, too. Sleep's gonna be nice, though; I won't front.
Tomorrow I've got some extra chauffeuring in the morning, and the Thursday Gauntlet post prep, but otherwise I think it's back to RADC work. I hope (as I always do) that I'm not setting myself up for a crappy week of pod editing next week, but if RADC doesn't take all day, maybe I'll have a chance to wrap up the GC edit I started yesterday. Anyway, we'll see. Gonna try and keep RADC the priority, since it's gotta be done, but also I don't want Riverbed to slide into the background, either. We shall see. That is, as they say, tomorrow's problem. Tonight's is getting some sleep. Onward!
