Weekends are hard

So here's the thing. I meant to do work today. The plan was to work on CL in the morning while T was still in bed. BUT it turned out I didn't have all the materials I needed, so...that didn't happen. I could have called an audible and worked on MM but just...chose not to. So basically I took the day off today, mostly. I did manage to go out for a pretty decent walk, actually, and that was like first thing; that was even before I cracked open CL. That's about the only productive thing I can say I really go to today. Went maybe...I dunno...halfway on the dailies. So, yeah. Not my best day, work-wise. Not my worst, either, though, importantly.

Biggest lesson from today is really just a repeated lesson from always: I should really get work done early. I just seem to be so bad at coming back from breaks of any appreciable length. So tomorrow I'll give that more of a shot. I know there's gonna be a morning walk to get the Sunday breakfast stuff, but otherwise I'll try and clear the dailies and at least try to get some MM. But I've gotta clear some work before I sit down with video games. That's just how it's gotta be if I wanna try and get things done.

So, yeah. Better tomorrows. Onward.

More weekend

Welp. Today didn't go quite like I'd planned it, but it did go pretty productively, so...yay? Originally I was thinking an MM-heavy morning shift and then...I dunno...whatever after that, I guess. More chillin', perhaps. :) The way things actually went was I went for a walk bright an early, and then got some stuff done on the dailies front. Then I meant to take just a "quick" video game break, but that turned into a long-ass thing that took me into the afternoon. Then T and I went out to do some shopping, notably for a new litter box for the cats. Well, a lot of stuff for the cats, but the litter box was the unusual part. Some other errands and shopping...it was late afternoon by the time we got back, and then I spent some time taking care of the old box and setting up the new one. Domestic stuff...you know. Basically I've just spent the last couple hours closing up dailies. So, like...nothing really done on the work work side of things, but still...lots done, and lots of catching up accomplished.

It's about dinnertime, and I'm actually posting to put a button on the dailies today. I think I might make that the new normal. I liked making the blog post the final thing for the dailies, but ever since I've been trying to keep the inbox under control, I've been doing the blog post before inboxing, but I think I'm going to switch that up in the future and try and make sure the inboxing is done (or at least controlled) before posting.

Scintillating, I know. This is how I try and maintain life, though. Suck it up.

Wow, that was confrontational. OKAY it's probably time for me to...wrap up whatever needs wrapping up and then unplug for a while. Decent day, IMO. There's still a stack of regular work waiting for me come the start of the week, but I feel better about getting into that now that I'm feeling more caught up on the admin stuff. Onward!
